    American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED

    Includes a textbook and CPR card This course is designed for those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements or for those who have a desire to learn the techniques of CPR and the use of an AED. This classroom based, instructor-led course teaches adult, child and infant CPR/AED as well as choking management. The general public and anyone interested in learning CPR may take this class. The course is two sessions of classroom instruction - no driving or test required. You will receive a certificate of completion to provide to your insurance company. Attendance at both sessions is required to receive credit. This is an online course offered via Zoom technology. It will be lead virtually by an instructor and will be interactive. You will be emailed a link to the class ahead of time. If you do not have access to a computer at home, choose a daytime class option when you register and participate in the online class from the Central Education Campus - Classroom D221.

Now you have the opportunity to learn Czech from a native Czech speaker. Katrina is a native of the Czech Republic and currently teaches English, Latin and Czech for the Charles University. The class is scheduled to focus on expanding vocabulary for real-life speaking situations along with increasing an understanding of the Czech culture. Participants will gain practical language skills regarding introductions, expressions, travel, literature, cuisine and habits.

    Events and Activities for Adults with Unique Abilities

    We want you to join us! Register for this course to be added to our activity group list for adults with unique abilities. Most social activities and events will be scheduled on the second Monday of the month from 2:30-4:00 pm. You are encouraged to attend all that interest you. The activities will help you meet other adults in the community and build friendships that can last a lifetime. We will send out regular emails and invitations to let you know what the upcoming activities will be. We will try to keep costs low, but there may be a small fee to cover the costs of some activities.
