Kolacky: A Czech staple

Courses: Adult / Culinary -
Winter 2026

Kolaches are a traditional daily Czechoslovakia filled sweet bread. With the immigration to America, Kolaches have evolved to look and taste different, with each baker making them to suit their region. Some are a closed bread roll, some are pastry-like and open, and yet another are more like a thumbprint cookie. All originate from Europe and all are filled with yummy preserves. Come learn about the history of Kolaches, create your own to take home, and enjoy the ethnic tastes of today. Please bring a larger flat container for your Kolaches.

If you would like to bring an additional person to class to help prepare your dish(es), you may add them to your registration for an extra $5. You will work together from one set of ingredients.
