Have you ever wanted to learn the guitar but simply find it difficult to find the time? In just a few hours you can learn enough about playing the guitar to give you years of musical enjoyment, and you won’t have to take private lessons to do it. This crash course will teach you some basic chords and get you playing along with your favorite songs right away. Since this class is being held online with ZOOM, you will be able to sit at home with your guitar and take this class without any pressure at all. And since the class includes an online book and online follow-up video lessons, you will be able to continue your practice and study on your own. An optional periodic online question and answer session is also included. A recording of the class is included as well. Class limited to 15 students. For ages 13+. Topics include: How chords work in a song How to form the three main types of chords How to tune your guitar Basic strumming patterns

Since this class is being held online with ZOOM you will be able to sit at your piano or keyboard at home and take this course with no pressure at all. And since this course includes an online book and online follow up video lessons, you will be able to continue your practice and study on your own. An optional periodic online question and answer session is also included. A recording of the class is included as well. The course is partly lecture/demonstration and partly hands on instruction. Topics include: How chords work in a song How to get more out of sheet music by reading less of it How to form the three main types of chords How to handle different keys and time signatures How to avoid “counting” How to simplify over 12,000 complex chords

With the growing season starting up, it is time to learn the basics of home garden preservation. Homemade jams, spicy salsas, fresh beans, fermented cabbage and more can all be enjoyed during the cold winter months. Home canning of fresh food provides a number of benefits, including: lower grocery bills, sustainable lifestyles, and better nutrition through control of the ingredients that go into your food. Once you know the basics, home canning and preservation is really quite easy. This class will introduce you to the tools/equipment, food safety, and produce/ingredient selection needed to successfully preserve this season and for many years to come.

Ninjas develop strength and agility during these 4 weeklong courses by learning different styles and techniques to master all obstacles! We have warped walls, angled steps, salmon ladders, cliff hangers, tilted ladders; all Ninja inspired obstacles! Increase flexibility, coordination, and self-esteem that can be transferred into ninja levels testing or enhance other athletic performances. All classes are coached by an experienced Ninja Trainer.

In this two-hour session, beginner archers will learn the basics of shooting and safety while practicing and competing in a fun shooting game to improve accuracy. Must wear closed-toed shoes. Equipment is provided. Youth ages 8-10 need an adult present for the duration of the session.

Discover the current trends in the industry and how easy and affordable it can be to learn, set up and work from home. In this one-time, 90-minute, introductory class, you’ll also learn about the different types of voiceovers and the tools you’ll need to find success. Your instructor will record you as you read a real script, then offer you some coaching so you can improve your delivery. Your instructor will take notes on your performance and create a professional voiceover evaluation delivered to you in a follow up call. After the class, you will have the knowledge necessary to help you decide if this is something you’d like to pursue. You owe it to yourself to finally explore the possibilities of this fun and rewarding field! Upon registration you will be contacted by VFA to schedule your class for a day and time of your convenience.

Is your child interested in hockey, but you are not sure where to start? Or maybe you're a family member who loves the sport but are hesitant to make a full commitment. The Junior Trojans program is designed to introduce girls and boys ages 4-8 to skating and basic hockey skills. Each sessions will include an off-ice and on-ice instructional portion. Participants are required to wear a bike/helmet on ice. Skate rental will be available. Hockey sticks and gear and not required, but are welcomed. We will have a limited amount of equipment to try.

Girls Entering Kindergarten - 2nd Grade in Fall 2024 Join our fun-filled Girls Basketball camp designed just for you! In this camp, we’ll draw, sculpt, paint, and more as we create projects inspired by some of our favorite video games. Design your own avatar on a real canvas board, sculpt your favorite Among Us Crewmate, create Sonic the Hedgehog and so much more! Calling all doodlers! Are you ready to take your drawings to the next level? We’ve got the perfect class for you! In this advanced class designed specifically for older artists, we’ll learn and master a simple step-by-step method to truly fantastic drawings. From cute koalas to radiant sunsets to a lighthouse that really glow-in-the-dark, we’ll hone our drawing skills as we create unique masterpieces any burgeoning artist would be proud of! "Hey there," "Hi there" and last but not least, 'Ho There!' - be prepared for your mini Mouseketeer to have some ooey gooey fun as they make their own Mickey or Minnie Mouse slime with a themed jar to hold it all together.

In this class, we will do an in-depth walkthrough of an actual Minnesota Probate Estate from the filing of the application for probate to the final accounts - and all the steps in between. Class participants will learn the entire process with current forms, court and filing requirements, accounting and procedural steps, as well as the procedures for the sale and distribution of estate assets. We will also discuss the roles, responsibilities, and liabilities of a person who is appointed as the executor/personal representative. The class will be filled with real-life examples and solutions to the multitude of issues involving a typical (or not typical) Minnesota probate estate. This class encourages questions: Is there a “reading of the will”? What about personal items? Does the executor get paid? What about estate bills and creditors? We will provide the answers!
