    Early Childhood Screening is a FREE, simple check of how your child is growing, developing and learning. State law requires children to be screened between the ages of 3 to 5 years old. The state of Minnesota requires health and developmental screening for every child before kindergarten entry into a public school. New Prague offers this service at no cost. Screening is not a substitute for health care from your family physician, dentist, or other health care providers. Follow these steps to make an appointment Click on the location and month you would like to schedule. Select a date and time that works with your schedule and select “Enroll Now”. Complete all requested information and select “Enroll”. The next page is the Shopping Basket. Click “Check Out for $0”. If your registration is successful, you will receive an immediate email confirmation that includes your screening date and time. Note: If you are a new user to the Eleyo registration system and have created a new account during the registration process, you will receive two emails. One to welcome you as a new Eleyo user and another to confirm your screening registration. If you do not receive a course confirmation email a few minutes after registering, your registration is not complete and your appointment is not valid. If you need assistance with registration, please email npscreening@isd721.org or call 952-758-1674. Finally, prior to your child's appointment, you will be emailed the screening paperwork. Please finish the paperwork prior to your appointment, save them, and email to npscreening@isd721.org or print them and bring them along with you.

  • Elko New Market Youth Football Camp

    Students Entering Grades 1-6 in Fall 2024 Campers will learn a variety of skills in all facets of the game of football as well as how to commit to keeping an active body and mind. Campers will be separated into mini-camps by age level and will learn from experienced coaches including the Trojan Varsity Staff. Campers will also be introduced to Trojan Offensive and Defensive Schemes. The second part of each day will consist of flag football competitions where campers will put newly learned skills to use.     Emergency Outfitters: Babysitting 101

    This course is best suited for 10 to 13-year-olds interested in learning the current practices of caring for young children and how to manage their babysitting business. Students will learn safety and injury prevention, first aid basics, feeding and caring for infants and how to handle behavior problems. Students receive a reference book, handouts, babysitting bag and first aid kit.
  • Emergency Outfitters: F.A.S.T. Kids-Staying Safe While Home Alone

    First Aid and Safety Trained Kids is a 4-hour course for 7 - 10-year-olds. This course helps prepare children for staying safe at and away from home. Lessons cover basic first aid, water safety, vehicle safety, home emergencies, injury prevention, stranger and internet safety. Students will receive a book, handouts and a home first aid kit as part of the class.
  • Essential Czech Language

    You know how to say “Jak se máte” or ask for a “pivo” but have you always felt you wanted to learn more of the Czech language? Perhaps your ancestors were from the Czech Republic and you have always wanted to visit but were hesitant about your language skills, or maybe you simply want to know what it was your grandparents and parents were saying when they spoke together. Now you have the opportunity to learn Czech from a native Czech speaker. Katrina is a native of the Czech Republic and currently teaches English, Latin and Czech for the Charles University. The class is scheduled to focus on expanding vocabulary for real-life speaking situations along with increasing an understanding of the Czech culture. Participants will gain practical language skills regarding introductions, expressions, travel, literature, cuisine and habits.

    Events and Activities for Adults with Unique Abilities

    We want you to join us! Register for this course to be added to our activity group list for adults with unique abilities. Most social activities and events will be scheduled on the second Monday of the month from 2:30-4:00 pm. You are encouraged to attend all that interest you. The activities will help you meet other adults in the community and build friendships that can last a lifetime. We will send out regular emails and invitations to let you know what the upcoming activities will be. We will try to keep costs low, but there may be a small fee to cover the costs of some activities.

    Girls Elementary Trojan Rec Soccer League

    PK Age 4 (by 7/1/2024) - Entering Grade 5 in Fall 2024 Learn the fundamentals of soccer through fun and creative practices. Showcase what you learn through exciting and competitive small-sided games. While keeping active and healthy, kids will hone their individual skills while learning teamwork, sportsmanship, work ethic, perseverance, and how to deal with success and failure. Volunteer Coaches The success of our recreational league is dependent upon volunteer coaches, whether you have soccer knowledge or not, we can use your help! Parent coaches will be provided with weekly drills and plans along with having the support of a Site Supervisor at each location to answer questions. Players of all levels are invited to sign up for any number of the camps to get instruction and repetitions on the skills specific to their position. Register early, as space will be limited! ALL classes are only taught by golf industry professionals, We are able to set up ANYWHERE as we use cushioned hitting mats and limited flight cork balls that have been approved for schools. We provide EVERYTHING the students will require to successfully complete the program at your school, including clubs, hitting mats, putting mats, limited flight/soft balls, etc. The only thing that the schools need to do is provide a space (indoors or outside) and spread the word about the program's availability. Parental support has been remarkable, as this program is completely parent funded!

    Don’t let the cooler weather damper your exercise program. Join your friends and neighbors in a safe, warm, dry environment and walk to your heart’s content. Exercise as often as you like. Bring water and clean, dry tennis shoes. How do I participate? Pre-registration is required. All walkers also need to obtain a hall walking badge PRIOR to walking at any of our schools. Your badge can be picked up between the hours of 7:00 AM-4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, at the New Prague Area Community Education office located at 410 Central Ave North, New Prague - enter through door #1. What is the cost? $10/person/year Where do I walk? Falcon Ridge Elementary (5:30-8:00 PM), New Prague High School indoor walking track (6:30-7:30 AM & 4:00-8:00 PM) or Eagle View Elementary (5:30 PM-8:00 PM). Registration allows you access to all three schools. When do I walk? Monday-Friday when school is in session. Schools are not open for walking when other building activities are taking place, on non-school days and for weather-related closures. Children and strollers are not permitted. Non-school dates will be provided when you pick up your badge. Dates and times are subject to change based upon all school activities. No food or beverages other than water are allowed.     High School Volleyball All-Skills Camp

    Girls and Boys entering Grades 9-12 in Fall 2024 Join the NPHS Volleyball coaching staff for a 3-day volleyball camp that covers a wide range of skills to build toward the upcoming fall season. Have fun learning the concepts of the game, while covering skills like hitting, setting, passing, and serving, as well as competitive drills and games.     Horse Camp

    Do you have a horse crazy kid? We have just what you need. Register for one of these three-day camps held every month during the summer. While at camp the kids will do many fun things such as painting horses, equine crafts, bathing horses, brushing, leading, and riding. The camp is focused on teaching kids what they need to do to prepare them to start taking lessons. Whether you are interested in taking lessons or not there is something for every kid at this unique camp. Pre-packaged snacks will be provided.
