    Unleash your creativity as you work collaboratively! Create a world with others in multiple unique, themed lands. Build different biomes or base a section on your favorite movie or video game! Students will get a copy of the world to continue development at home. Additional Technical Requirement: ●Minecraft Java Edition PC Needed (Windows or MacBook), will not work on Chromebook, tablets, or phones.
  • Tech Academy: 3D Printing: Poke Monsters

    Become a Pokemon Master of 3D Design! Design your own unique 3D Pokemon using TinkerCAD. Explore your creativity and experiment with Simlab and create themed video games. Learn the basics of CAD modeling and design software. One of your creations will be 3D printed. Printing and material fees are included. If printing is not completed before class, prints will be mailed home. Please bring lunch and a drink.

    Tech Academy: Magical Wizards Minecraft Adventures

    Immerse yourself in the wizarding world of Harry Potter by crafting and building iconic locations like Hogwarts Castle or Diagon Alley within Minecraft. Build and play themed mini-games. We will be using the PC/Java edition of Minecraft. Students should have basic reading skills and be comfortable using a computer. Bring a USB drive, lunch, and a drink.
  • Tech Academy: Game Coding Nintendo Characters (running)

    Learn the fundamentals of coding with Scratch by creating a Nintendo themed game. Inspire your student to pursue today's most exciting technologies. Scratch uses colorful, visual blocks that fit together like Legos. Additional technical requirement: Scratch and scratch account PC Needed, will not work on Chromebooks, tablets or phones Internet- broadband internet Webcam Microphone or speakers Zoom installed Please review the following points: This class will use Zoom, a platform for video communication. If your child is unfamiliar with it, we will go over the basics at the beginning of class, but please take a moment to review the following with your child: Show up 10 minutes before class time. Set up a location with minimal distractions. Be respectful of the teacher, other students, and the learning process. Listen and click on the "raise hand" button before talking if you have questions. Please stay muted on Zoom unless you have been called on when the teacher is talking. Here is a video introduction to using Zoom: Link Your student will need the following in order to fully participate in class: a computer (Windows or MacBook), webcam, microphone, speakers, and internet.     Tech Academy: Extreme Robo-Games: Battlebot Olympics

    Students will work in small teams using EV3 Mindstorms Robotic Systems and specialized LEGO Technic engineering components to build extreme robots and run programs to experiment with and overcome Olympic-style challenges. Student teams will be challenged to morph into their projects into better, stronger, or faster robots. Please bring lunch and a drink.
