Child's Play Theatre: Acting Fun for Little OnesMusic & TheatrePopularIn this class, students will learn the beginning skills of acting by performing two small skits based off of children's books. This year the students will do Lauren Numeroff's books "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" and "If You Give a Moose a Muffin." Students will each have a few lines to perform for the skit, play some acting games and create some fun crafts related to the books. Class Dates and Time - January 21, 28, February 4, 11, 18 from 10:30 AM - 12 PM Performance - A final performance for Family and friends will be held on February 18 at 11:30 AM.Winter/Spring 2023

Child's Play Theatre: The Fearsome Pirate FrankMusic & TheatreThe Fearsome Pirate Frank by Pat Lydersen— is the teenage heartthrob of every girl in Shakespearean England, even though he can’t remember his lines for the life of him! However, when the actor playing Frank and his supporting cast, including prima donna Esmerelda, get kidnapped by real pirates during one of their productions, it’s good-bye stardom, hello servitude on a real pirate ship! The narrators and a stream of hilarious sign-carriers keep the show moving as we see the pirate actors swabbing the decks under the orders of the real pirate Frank, who happens to be a woman. Students will learn acting and communication skills as they piece together this hilarious pirate tale.Winter/Spring 2023
