    High School Diving

    Entering 7th-12th grade Our High School Diving Camp is designed for athletes of all experience levels who are interested in joining or improving their skills for the high school swimming and diving team. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced diver, this camp will help you refine your technique, build strength, and gain confidence on the boards. Led by experienced coaches, training will be tailored to accommodate all skill levels, ensuring each athlete is prepared for their upcoming season. With a focus on fundamentals, advanced dives, proper form, and mental strategies, divers will receive personalized instruction to enhance their performance.

    Learn to Dive

    Ages 8-13 (with limited or no background in diving) Students will learn the basic fundamentals of springboard diving; forward and back approach, lineups, and an introduction to the 5 categories of springboard diving. Students must be able to swim in the deep water comfortably.

    Red Cross Lifeguard Certification

    This blended learning course includes an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skills session. Online must be completed before attending the first in-class date. You will be sent the online portion approximately 1 week before the course start date. This class provides entry-level participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. Requirements to become lifeguard certified are: At least 15 years of age Complete a swim- tread-swim sequence: Jump into the water submerge resurface swim 150 yards (using the front crawl breaststroke or a combination of both) maintain position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs then swim 50 yards using the front crawl breaststroke or a combination of both. Complete a timed event within 1 minute 40 seconds by starting in the water swimming 20 yards surface dive (feet-first or head-first) to a depth of 7 to 12 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point holding the object at the surface with both hand exit the water without using a ladder or steps. In order to successfully complete this course, you must attend all sessions, achieve a score of 80% or more on two written tests, and complete CPR, First Aid, and lifeguard skills tests * Cancellations made less than 5 days prior to class will be refunded only if that spot can be filled by another participant.
  • Swimming Lesson Evaluation & Open Swim

    During this class time, swim instructors will be available to evaluate students individually to place in an appropriate level prior to registering for the next lesson session. In addition to the swim evaluation, participants are invited to enjoy a special open swim opportunity. Adults are invited to join the open swim time with their children at a cost of $5.00. There is no charge for FAC members. Pre-registration is required.
  • Swimming Lessons - Adult

    These lessons are intended for adults who are looking to learn to swim. We will tailor the lessons to your needs and current level. The private sessions will be 5 weeks/classes long and additional sessions can be taken to continue to build skills and confidence. The class will appear as full with a waiting list, but please use this link to register and then a staff member will reach out to you to confirm dates and times that work with you and the instructor. Anyone who registers during priority registration will automatically be placed on a waitlist until residency and/or enrollment can be confirmed. REFUND POLICY: Full refunds are given when Community Education cancels a class. Refunds (less a $5 cancellation fee) will be issued when a participant cancels a registration by 4:00 pm, five (5) business days prior to the first day of class.
