In this class, we introduce students to programming concepts using Scratch. Learn to create an interactive 2D video game using your FAVORITE Star Wars characters. Scratch is a drag-and-drop creative coding platform developed by MIT. Additional Technical Requirement: ●Scratch and scratch account PC Needed (Windows or MacBook), will not work on Chromebook, tablets, or phones.

Create your own video game! Choose your storyline with popular Nintendo characters as your stars. Add challenges and difficulty levels.

Take your game to the next level by creating your own custom Minecraft mod. This class will teach you how to create new blocks and ores for the Java Edition of Minecraft. Students will need to have Minecraft and mod creation software (free download) installed prior to class. Video instructions will be sent prior to class. Survival Camp in Minecraft: Team up and survive in our multiplayer world. Explore the unknown and join the other Survival enthusiasts to overcome challenges and overcome quests on our server. Join us in this new multiplayer Minecraft class. We will go over basic, and not so basic building techniques, then you will work alone or collaboratively to complete building challenges on our Tech Academy Minecraft server. Unleash your creativity as you work collaboratively! Create a world with others in multiple unique, themed lands. Build different biomes or base a section on your favorite movie or video game! Students will get a copy of the world to continue development at home. Learn to make Java mods for Minecraft Java Edition Minecraft using MCreator and customize your gaming experience. MCreator is a great tool to learn Minecraft modding and to learn concepts of software programming. Students should be comfortable with keyboarding and playing Minecraft. Dig deep and get exploring in puzzle-filled maps in this Minecraft camp! Using Minecraft EDU, you’ll learn how to use Redstone mechanisms and programmed commands in order to create the perfect Minecraft Escape Map. You’ll design fun puzzles, engineering traps to trick your friends, and even -make hidden rooms to hide your treasure! By the end of this class, you will be able to show off your new adventure mapping, Redstone, and command skills to your friends. No advanced Minecraft knowledge required.
